tips for life ~ Entry for February 01, 2008

Earlier today I talked to my friend, like I always do every day. I find that in my sharing of everything, both happiness and sorrows, I am finding me again. And sometimes when you seek, you find that valuable lessons aren't found in books, they are shared in the simplest of forms... communications of heart.

 

And while my recent happenings has caused some friends to leave my side because they don't know how to help me, I do know that I am surrounded by loving and caring people willing to help me however they can.

 

Recently, a new friend wrote comments on my many writings expressing his views looking from the outside into my world. And in reading these comments I found a bit of....well, sense... Go figure huh? And I smile and I joke now saying that but in all seriousness, those words hit home.

 

Buried deep within me I have become so lost in devoting myself to Angelines death, I have forgotten those celebrations of her life. I cannot change what has happened to her, or us. Our lives are forever changed drastically of course. But I can't let her ultimate impact on my life be that of sorrow and despair. She was too alive for that. I am too alive for that. And for me to stop enduring is to choose not to. She's not gone, she's just with us now in a different way.... and I can still laugh, or smile, or at times cry. Knowing, it's okay to move on......

 

When she would grow frustrated with me or at something she would say... "enough." I can almost hear her saying that to me now.

Below is a forward I received from my aunt today. Those things that circle around everyones email sometimes read and usually deleted. After reading it I thought the timing was pretty good to post it with my evenings blog........
