Department: Beauty | Maybelline BABY SKIN | pore eraser

December 27, 2013

The older I get it seems the more things change and one of the more noticeable things with heading into Menopause is the texture of my skin.  I know your reading that and thinking too much info but the truth is the truth.  You think high school skin is trouble with acne breakouts (possibly) and here we women go into the next stage with new issues. The body loses Estrogen and wow...
I have always noticed I had visible pores and in my youth I never really paid much attention.  You slathered on Cover Girl or Maybelline foundation and filled it all in.
Enter the age of powdered foundations and your in for fun trying to keep that looking smooth.
So companies came up with skin primers. Silicone as far as I was concerned.  Some being pretty expensive...but if your wearing Bare Minerals or Laura Geller powdered foundations you need a base coat.  Silly sounding I know, and all of those half my age may read this and think...that will never happen to me.
Never say never and congrats on having perfect skin.  My advice is wear plenty of sunscreen and take great care of what you have.  My grandmother lived to be 98 and she didn't have a visible pore on her face.  As a kid we would laugh when she sat at the table in the morning doing her beauty regime and finished it off with cucumbers on her eyes.
Now all I say is pass the Salad!
Okay onto todays find.  Found in Kmart {while waiting in line} I saw this on the end cap for $6.99 as a new item out, Maybelline baby skin pore eraser.
I am guessing it is just like all of the other "pore erasers" I use--which just fills in anything large to give a uniform appearance, as it is not capable of reducing the size of a pore.  It's not a medicine...it's bondo for your face.  :)
I posted the ingredient list for all of these products and as you can see they are all pretty much alike.  The difference being so far...the price.
Natural products are the best for your skin but on those occasions when you want a smoother look, sometimes you turn to problem solvers.
I will try this Baby Skin tomorrow with a fresh clean face and see if it's any different and write my review based on that.
