After taking my father in law to his doctor visit on Tuesday, I ran to Michaels to find my Happy Planner and saw that they were beginning to set up some Halloween, Christmas, and Fall Florals!!!

Here are a few photos of the items I saw. I didn't want to stay in the store shopping long as my husband was in the hot car waiting for me so I took only a few photos.

I have always wanted to buy a Bee Skep for decorating the inside of my home and my garden but if you are like me and have searched for them too you would see just how expensive they are, how hard they are to find, and how quickly they sell out when found.

Luckily, I saw a creative way to make a Bee Hive while saving a ton of money.  After trying it for myself I just had to share the "How To" of this project for other DIY Crafters.

I am reposting this posting of mine from April of last year as it is the perfect time to find these supplies in your Dollar Tree Stores to make this bee skeep for yourself.  You can use various sizes of flower pots to layer in this adorable look everywhere in your home decor.

DIY | Making My Own Minion Halloween Pumpkin

Written by

I have been wanting to do this project for so long but in order to do it, you need a pumpkin or a group of pumpkins and those are not really around yet. I did see those foam pumpkins that you can carve yourself in the Michaels stores and they are so expensive I hesitated to buy one for a few weeks now.  I thought if I do this project, I can paint on real pumpkins and when they rot I can toss them.  Or I can wait for a sale on the foam and have it always...and maybe make Santa caps for them for Christmas.

I took on one of the most popular projects on Pinterest, the Spring Carrot Door Hanger, and here is what I created last night...

DIY | Making My Own Minion Halloween Pumpkin

I wanted something cute and different for Halloween this year so I went on Pinterest for inspiration.  Here is what I found I could do.

It was just after one am and, as per usual, I was still awake doing the last few things that needed my attention before closing out my day.  The air conditioners hum in the bedroom was not drowning out the sounds of the fireworks still booming outside of my window and all I want is to rest my eyes and fall asleep.

While checking out the last few emails that needed attention I noticed an email alerting me to a new backlink on my blog.  What a nice surprise to see that Woman's Day used my 2013 Minion Pumpkin Craft Project for their Painted Pumpkin Ideas for the Best- Ever Halloween Post this past June 23rd.

DIY | Fall Scarecrow Flowerpot

This past weekend Michaels began putting out their selection of fall greenery and wreaths and while the calendar still reads June, it is never too early to start those autumn craft projects.
